In a major administrative shake-up, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) suspended its president A Jagan Mohan Rao, secretary R Devraj, and treasurer CJ Srinivas Rao following allegations of financial impropriety and abuse of position. The decision was taken at an emergency Apex Council meeting, with the suspension enforced under Rule 41(6) and Rule 15(4)(d) of the HCA's 2018 Memorandum of Association. The HCA confirmed in a statement issued on July 31 that the officials were suspended due to “serious charges involving fraud, cheating, misappropriation of funds, and abuse of official position. The statement says, "The Hyderabad Cricket Association remains committed to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. This decision has been taken in the larger interest of safeguarding the association's credibility and ensuring that due process is followed in a fair and impartial manner." With the president, secretary, and treasurer suspended, Vice-President Daljeet Singh has taken over as acting president. Revanth Reddy, accusing Jagan Mohan Rao of obstructing ticket allocations. SRH alleged that Rao locked F block corporate box seats prior to their March 27 clash against Lucknow Super Giants, denying access to LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka. Additional allegations claimed that Rao demanded nearly 20 complimentary tickets using threats and coercion. In response, SRH threatened to relocate their home base from Hyderabad, triggering a high-level inquiry. Following a preliminary investigation by Director General Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, the Telangana CID arrested Jagan Mohan Rao on July 9.
