"I had this pain for the past two years. We didn't know what the issue was. Then RCB sent me to London for my surgery," Suyash said in a candid interview. He also thanked the RCB team Physiotherapist, James Pip,e for taking good care of him in London. "I met James Pipe there in London. He and his family treated me like his own family. I had three hernias. I didn't have the hope to play the first few matches, I had a big surgery. I'm very thankful that I joined this franchise, I'm fit now. I was suffering from pain in the last two years, I was used to playing in pain," he added. Despite the setback, Suyash was determined to return in IPL 2025, and it was the support of the RCB setup that made it possible. "The problem is that if you are playing in a franchise, you will manage. When the injury happened, I was not playing anywhere and went to a small physiotherapist, who said I had something else," he said. He also thanked the franchise for showing faith in him. "RCB showed a lot of faith in me and invested a lot in me. I didn't even play a match last year. I'm happy that the surgery happened. Guess everything happens for the best." He further added that the injury left him in bed for a few months before the IPL. “I was on bed rest for three months before IPL. I started bowling only two weeks before the IPL,” Suyash added. In the video, he also credited RCB's Spin Bowling Coach Malolan Rangarajan for helping him with his bowling and for giving him the confidence. Notably, Malolan is also the assistant coach of the RCB women's team. During the WPL, RCB flew Suyash Sharma to Lucknow, where the spinner bowled to the Women's team in the camp. The young spinner concluded the interview by saying that his aim is to win a trophy for the RCB team. Meanwhile, RCB have done well in IPL 2025, and Suyash Sharma is one of the reasons for it. The leg-spinner has taken four wickets while giving away 7.97 per over. While he has gone wicketless multiple times, he has managed to stay economical, especially in the middle overs. The table-toppers have won seven out of their ten matches so far and will return to action on May 3 against Chennai Super Kings.
