Lachie Burtt, the 21-year-old man who walked with a beer snake on day 1 of the Adelaide Test, has apologised to Marnus Labuschagne for disrupting the flow of the match. Notably, Siraj was bowling to Marnus when the later pulled off as a person was seen walking with a long pile of glass. Furious Siraj, threw the ball towards Marnus, despite the later having nothing to do with it. Nevermind, in the very next ball, Marnus smacked Siraj for a boundary. By that time, it was already night, and the lights were going on and off. Once Harshit Rana stood frustrated due to the electricity cut on the field. A disturbance with the electricity and tired legs of the bowlers, the "snake" got more anger in "usually-aggressive" Siraj. Burtt came quick to apologize to Marnus Labuschagne, saying on 9News, "I didn't really have time to stop and think what I was doing right now and what the effects were going to be because of it. I did feel a bit silly, it wasn't the right thing … sorry Marnus. It's probably not the right thing to do, but no one got hurt. I didn't jump the fence or anything. It was one ball, and Marnus (Labuschagne) got a four after that, so no worries. In my head at that time, I just wanted to get away from the guard, so I saw the space and hopped over the tiny white rope." Notably, a viewer in the stadium was allotted four drinks at a time. NewsCorp quoted an engineer present at the venue as saying, "The funny thing was everyone could buy four drinks [at one time], so we were all sitting there with four drinks each, and there were 67 of us. So there was a fair bit going on… plus everyone around us on the hill, they were loving it." The beer available there, namely Hahn, costs 11 dolars for each cup. Brutt, with his seven friends, collected 250 cups that approximately cost 2750 Australian dollars—that is INR 2.33 lakhs!
