Team India have officially kicked off their preparations for the upcoming Asia Cup. After wrapping up the Test series against England, the Men in Blue enjoyed a well-deserved month-long break. Players like Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Kuldeep Yadav got the much-needed rest and recovery time, and now it’s back to business. India begins Asia Cup training The squad assembled at the ICC Academy in Dubai for their first practice session ahead of the tournament. The players arrived in groups, and now the entire squad is together. Interestingly, the management opted not to organize a camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, choosing instead to land in Dubai early to adapt better to local conditions. Since India had already featured in the Champions Trophy in the UAE earlier this year, adjusting to the pitches and weather won’t be a major challenge. With just five days remaining before their opening clash against hosts UAE, Rohit Sharma and his men will be aiming to fine-tune their skills and build strong team chemistry. The absence of its logo on the training kits confirmed the development. Recently, Adidas, the team’s official kit partner, also cleared out stock that carried Dream11 branding. The BCCI has already floated a fresh tender for a new sponsor, but the process is expected to conclude only midway through the tournament. As a result, Team India will be playing without a title sponsor for the initial phase of the Asia Cup—a rare sight in modern cricket.
