Mohammad Nawaz and Tanzim Hasan Sakib ran into one another and things escalated into an exchange of volleys during this match between Sylhet Strikers (SYL) from the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025 over the weekend- on Sunday January 12. It was a thrilling battle on Sunday between the home team and Mehidy Hasan Miraz-led side in the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium as the home team fought back for an eight-run victory. This contest between the bat and ball was really intense and the players never attempted to give in to each other's terms. Khulna required 53 in the last four overs and Nawaz batted well. But Tanzim outwits him with a perfect slower ball that totally befool Nawaz. He tried to pull back at the last moment which failed. The ball came off the top of his bat, driven into the waiting hands of Zakir Hasan at short third man. Nawaz reacted to this and the two cricketers bumped into each other, reminiscent of the infamous incident from the Border-Gavaskar series involving Virat Kohli and Sam Konstas. Tanzim and Nawaz got involved in a heated verbal exchange before George Munsey rushed in to pacify things. The umpires and the rest of the Sylhet fielders also walked in to settle things down as the Pakistani all-rounder finally turned around and started walking back to the hut.
