On January 30, English singer Ed Sheeran had invited the England Cricket team and met them backstage in his first show of the tour, in Pune. Presently, Ed Sheeran is touring India for the "Mathematics" and had the opening night at Pune. Notably, the England Cricket team is also at Pune for the third T20I match of the series, on January 31. Sheeran posed with the England captain Jos Buttler, who gifted him a jersey signed by the England players. Ed Sheeran, who met the team with his backroom staff, also gave Buttler a jersey of Ipswich Town, a football club. The England Cricket team also posted the photos with a caption that said, “A 'Perfect' evening! The Men in Blue won the first two games in Kolkata and Chennai, but England made a strong comeback by winning the third match in Rajkot. England batted first, setting a total of 171/9 in 20 overs, with Ben Duckett scoring 51 runs off 28 balls. India’s Varun Chakravarthy was the standout performer, taking 5 wickets for 24 runs in his second five-wicket haul. Despite his efforts, India’s chase faltered as they kept losing wickets, ultimately finishing at 145/9 in their 20 overs. England won by 26 runs, securing their first victory in the series. With the momentum on their side, the Jos Buttler-led team will be keen to carry forward their winning streak into the fourth T20I.
