Suyash Sharma was instrumental in getting Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to the Indian Premier League (IPL) crown this year. The young leg-spinner may not have taken a lot of wickets, but he supported other spinner Krunal Pandya well and assisted RCB in dominating opposition sides between the middle overs in many a game. The 22-year-old recently featured in the second season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL). He played for Outer Delhi Warriors. Suyash picked up nine wickets in 8 matches in DPL 2025. But the Warriors couldn't make it to the playoffs, ending seventh on the points table. In a rapid fire on the sidelines of DPL, Suyash chose Chris Gayle as GOAT (Greatest of All Time) of RCB. The West Indies opener took over Dirk Nannes during IPL 2011 midway through. He blazed a destructive century on his IPL debut for RCB. Gayle became a regular in RCB's lineup in the subsequent years, also bagging the Orange Cap in two seasons. The left-handed batsman also holds the record for the highest score in IPL history. He did this during a match against Pune Warriors India in 2013 when he scored 175* off 66 balls. From 2011 to 2017, he scored 3,163 runs for RCB in 85 matches, averaging 43.33 with a strike rate of 152.73. His partnership with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers was called the holy trinity of RCB, as they came together to win a lot of games for the Bengaluru-based team. Fittingly, Gayle and de Villiers joined Kohli in RCB’s IPL title celebrations after the final at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The three lifting the prized IPL title were captured in numerous photographs which went viral on social media. Kohli was one of RCB's top performers during the season, scoring 657 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 54.75.
