For the 14th straight T20 game, he scored over 25 runs, breaking the record previously held by South Africa's Temba Bavuma, who achieved 13 such scores. Suryakumar has become synonymous with consistency this season. The Mumbai Indians' star batsman has scored over 25 runs in each IPL 2025 game. Having taken over as T20I captain of India, he now has 14 consecutive 25-plus scores, breaking the record of 13 set by Bavuma between 2019 and 2020. SKY's consistent performances have been integral toward propelling Mumbai Indians into the IPL 2025 playoffs. No batter has made 25 bigger scores in an IPL season than Surya. Earlier, Shubman Gill, and Kane Williamson shared the record, each with 13. Now Suryakumar stands alone with 14. This is the biggest sum scored by a Mumbai Indians batter in any given IPL season. Surya is now the only player to have scored 600+ runs in two IPL seasons alongside MI. The previous record holder was none other than Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 618 runs in 2010. Surya bettered the 15-year-old record against PBKS.
