Also Read | T20 World Cup 2026: How Australia Can Still Qualify for Super 8 After Sri Lanka Loss Teams Still in Race USA United States of America (USA) has played all their matches in this tournament and have earned four points. Their chances of qualification depends solely on other team in the group. If India beats Netherlands and Pakistan loses to Namibia, USA secure their spot in the Super 8. Pakistan Pakistan have won two out of their three matches and are currently placed at 3rd spot in the Group B's table. Their upcoming game is against Namibia, which is a must win match for them. If they win against NAM, they will make into the Super 8, but if they don't, they will be eliminated. Netherlands Although the chances of Netherlands are very slim, they are still in the race for the final spot. They have an uphill task of beating India in their last group match, and if they somehow manage to surge the upset with a huge margin which would better their NRR than USA and if Namibia beats Pakistan, Netherlands will end at the second spot with four points. Teams Eliminated from Super 8 Race Oman: Oman lost all their matches and are eliminated from the tournament. Their last match will not have any effect on the qualification. Scotland: Scotland could win only one match and are no longer in the competition. Italy: Italy made history by winning their first World Cup match, but their overall performance did not qualify them. Nepal: Nepal was not able to win any of their matches and are at the bottom of their group. UAE: UAE had major losses and their net run rate is not sufficient to qualify them. Canada: Canada lost to New Zealand and are officially eliminated from the tournament. Ireland: Ireland had a chance to qualify until the game against Zimbabwe got washed out. WIth 1 shared point, they now have 3 points which is not enough to make it to the Super 8. Australia: Australia’s hope suffered a dent after Zimbabwe's game against Ireland was abandoned. This will be the just the second time after 2009 when Australia won't go ahead of the Group Stage in T20 World Cups. With three teams already in the Super 8 and only a spot left, the upcoming matches will determine which teams will advance. The level of excitement is increasing as teams are fighting to stay alive.
