Abhishek Sharma, who powered his way through the IPL 2024, has had it rough this season. He has made just 31 runs in three matches at a dreadful average of 10.33. This is a far cry from the prior season when he racked up 484 runs in 16 games, averaging 32 and boasting a blistering strike rate of 204. Dissecting his decline in IPL 2025 So many; however, SRH would want to consider experimenting with Abhishek at No. 3 for one match. The coming clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens is going to be a tough challenge considering Abhishek's dreadful record against KKR. As with KKR, other franchises have perhaps produced more favorable results for him. In nine outings, only 132 runs came from his bat at 16.50 and 124 strike rates, with a respectable highest score of only 43. Compared to other opponents, one may say this is his worst-pitched game therein. Perhaps Ishan Kishan can be a choice, since he has an enviable track record against KKR. In 12 matches, he scored 257 runs, including three fifties, with a healthy strike rate of 154. Although his last two outings have not been brilliant, it is his glorious knock of 106 runs against RR in the opening match that states he is qualified. In the process, he has opened in 55 innings in IPL, amassing 1,733 runs at an average of 33.98 and strike rate of 141. If ever there was a player who could find acceleration at a time when his top order is misfiring, it has to be during SRH's chase. However, this change would be a temporary one and would come into play only for the KKR vs SRH game.
