Recently, the Maharashtra government has announced a big cash prize for the Mumbai players like Smriti Mandhana, Radha Yadav and Jemimah Rodrigues. Notably, Smriti Mandhana has been the highest run-getter of the tournament, scoring 434 runs in 9 matches. On the other hand, Jemimah Rodrigues scored a match-winning 127* run in the semifinal match against Australia. According to reports, the Maharashtra government has passed a resolution in the cabinet, where they have decided to give INR 2.25 crore each to Jemimah, Smriti, and Radha Yadav. Amol Majumdar, the head coach of the team, also comes from Mumbai and will be rewarded INR 22.5 lakh. The state team has also announced a cash prize of INR 5 lakh for the fielding coach of the team, Munish Bali.
