Rohit Sharma has been struggling with his batting form in the Tests. Adding to that, his poor show in the last series against New Zealand has brought his durability under the microscope. With that, former Indian cricketer and selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth has questioned Rohit Sharma's future, having had his form not checked in the coming Border Gavaskar Trophy. Rohit's form dropped to such a low that he scored just 42 runs in the last series against Bangladesh. In the series against New Zealand, he scored 91 runs, becoming the fifth Indian captain with the lowest batting average (15.16). In his YouTube channel, he said, "100 percent, you have to start thinking ahead (if India doesn’t do well in Australia). If Rohit Sharma doesn’t do well, I think he himself will retire from Test cricket, for all you know. He will play ODIs only. He has already left T20I cricket. We have to keep in mind that he is also ageing. He is no longer getting younger." PTI informs Rohit Sharma's meeting with team management A PTI report said that Rohit Sharma will informally sit with the BCCI officials, chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar, and coach Gautam Gambhir, to discuss the future of the Indian Men's Cricket Team. A BCCI source also informed PTI that the meeting will be held after Team India departs for Australia on November 10. Also, BCCI has reportedly clarified that there won't be any chance in the squad of the touring team.
