Sri Lanka sealed off the series comprehensively by securing the third T20I against the West Indies. The West Indies opted to bat first, but they could not have asked for a worse start as they lost Evin Lewis in the very first over. Brandon King and Shai Hope could manage to stitch together a small partnership of 37 runs before wickets started falling regularly. After the middle order collapsed, Rovman Powell and Gudakesh Motie come to the crease which turned out as relief factor for the visitors. Dunith Wellalage, the star bowler of the last match, was smashed for three consecutive six by Motie. Powell scored 37, while Motie contributes with 32 runs. Romario Shepherd also played a good hand of 18 runs and took the team to 162. Pathum Nissanka played a scintillating knock of 39 before getting out, but his dismissal did not temper the Sri Lankan innings. It was Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis thereafter, completely dominating the West Indies bowling attack. Perera remained not out on 55, and Mendis scored 68 not out, which took Sri Lanka to an easy win in just 18 overs. The West Indies bowlers had no answer to the aggressive batting from the Sri Lankan duo, which they took the match away with ease. Lanka won the third T20I, and sealed a three-match series victory with 2-1. Kusal Mendis received the man-of-the-match award for his tremendous innings of 68 runs.
