Prior to their Thursday (March 27, 2025) IPL 2025 encounter with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowling coach James Franklin reacted to the excessive run-scoring pattern of the competition. In his opinion, fans of cricket could see one of the sides making 300 runs in one innings this time. SRH nearly attained this milestone during their previous match against Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Their batting order gave a breathtaking display, with a huge total of 286/6. This was the fourth 250+ score for SRH in T20 cricket, more than any team in the game. They were previously equal with Surrey for the record for the most 250+ scores in T20s. High Scores on the Rise Talking about a chance of scoring a 300-run innings, Franklin mentioned that already this year, teams have touched 230-240 marks. With favourable conditions for batting and free-style batting, scoring a 300 would not be surprising. In a pre-match press conference, James Franklin said: "I’d never say never. I think we ran it pretty close the other day ourselves, and I think we’ve seen already in a couple of other games that, you know, 230, 240s being achieved. So, yeah, why not?" SRH, captained by Pat Cummins, will next play Rishabh Pant's LSG in their seventh game of IPL 2025. The match will be hosted by the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Expect yet another high-scoring encounter between both teams with both looking to grab a valuable win.
