Set 282 to win, South Africa were reeling after losing Ryan Rickelton early, but Markram and Wiaan Mulder recovered the innings with a steady 61-run partnership. Mulder got out after contributing 27, but Markram continued with his cool calmness. He played with excellent control, turning the strike astutely and smacking loose balls.
