Rishabh Pant is a character at heart. One can trace him on the field even without looking at him, but because of his antics that come naturally. On day 4, at Headingley, it was nothing different. He literally fell on the ground trying to scoop the ball, which made Nasser Hussain say, "nobody falls on the pitch more than Rishabh Pant." Well, that's not all about Pant. Sometimes he was talking to himself, sometimes he was pleading with Chris Woakes for not being ready to face the ball. It happened when Rishabh pulled out when Woakes was halfway with the ball. Doing that, Rishabh softly apologized for not being ready. However, the next ball came straight, crushing onto his thigh pads. After fumbling a little bit, Rishabh murmured that he really has respected Woakes too much and then smashed a four towards the long off. India rides to 364 in the second innings mostly on KL Rahul's poised century and Rishabh Pant's 118 runs off 140 balls. He scored his 8th international century, not in a rogue way but by blocking as many balls as possible while batting 98! Rishabh smashed 15 boundaries and 3 sixes with a strike rate of 84.28. However, India faltered again with the middle and lower middle order. Unlike the first innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill couldn't even stand long. Sai Surdharshan who started well fell cheeply and so did Karun Nayar. Despite that, India posted a target of 371 runs on the board, of which England has already scored 21 runs at the end of the day.
