The Indian stand-in skipper Smriti Mandhana became the first Indian female cricketer to have centuries in all three formats of cricket. Mandhana achieved the feat after she scored a century in 51 balls at Nottingham in the first T20I against England. This century happens to be her first in the T20I format. Meanwhile, she also became the sixth cricketer in the world to have centuries in all formats. Smriti Mandhana slammed a magnificent 112 off 62 balls on Saturday, smashing 14 fours and 3 sixes to power India to 210—its second-highest T20I total after 217/4 vs West Indies in December 2024. The elegant left-hander went past her previous best of 87 to notch her maiden T20I century, becoming only the second Indian woman to score a T20I ton after Harmanpreet Kaur’s 49-ball hundred in 2018. Mandhana’s blazing innings overshadowed the slow start by Shafali Verma (20 off 22). She was eventually dismissed by Sophie Ecclestone, but not before taking India well past the 200-run mark. π§π΅π² π΅πΆπππΌπΏπΆπ° πΊπΌπΊπ²π»π β¨Smriti Mandhana becomes just the 2nd Indian to score a century in WT20Is π π#SonySportsNetwork #ENGvIND #WomenInBlue pic.twitter.com/AYTaipQCdN — Sony Sports Network (@SonySportsNetwk) June 28, 2025 Female cricketers to have centuries in all three formats Name Country Tammy Beaumont England Heather Knight England Laura Woolvaardt South Africa Beth Mooney Australia Smriti Mandhana India Read also: Harpreet Brar Spotted in Nets Ahead of 2nd Test vs England India Crush England by 97 Runs in Series Opener India Women registered a thumping 97-run win over England in the first T20I at Trent Bridge. Stand-in skipper Smriti Mandhana led from the front with a sublime 112 off 62 balls, hitting 15 fours and 3 sixes. Supported by Harleen Deol’s brisk 43, India posted 210/5—its second-highest T20I total. Lauren Bell returned 3 for 27, while Sophie Ecclestone endured a costly comeback with 1 for 43. In response, England folded for 113 in 15 overs. Nat Sciver-Brunt stood tall with 66, but debutant Shree Charani’s dream spell of 4 for 12 dismantled the rest. Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav chipped in, while Richa Ghosh impressed behind the stumps with a sharp catch and a stumping. India’s dominance exposed England’s frailties, especially against spin. Missing regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, India looked well-balanced, delivering a clinical all-round performance to start the five-match series with authority.
