The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) has just revealed a 26-man squad for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, with Nitish Rana stepping in as captain, taking over from Ayush Badoni, who will now focus on his role as a specialist batter. While the squad boasts 26 players, the fast-bowling trio of Ishant Sharma, Harshit Rana, and Navdeep Saini will be available depending on their fitness. Meanwhile, promising youngsters Ankit Rajesh Kumar and Yash Bhatia have earned their spots in the squad after shining at the U-23 level. One notable absence is Digvesh Rathi, who had a standout season with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) earlier this year. He outshone the seasoned Ravi Bishnoi, taking 14 wickets in 13 matches with an average of 30.64 and an economy rate of 8.25. However, the squad still includes other IPL talents like Suyash Sharma, Simarjeet Singh, Anuj Rawat, and Prince Yadav. Read also: Jasprit Bumrah on the money!
