Litton Das was keen to end his lean patch of batting in the next three-match T20I series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The T20I captain was dropped after a four-ball duck in the opening ODI of the newly-concluded 50-over series, which the hosts had won 2-1. Litton highlighted that he has always had a plan to work on himself and enhance his technical skills in the past. He was planning to overcome his dip in form soon with the forthcoming match in the shortest format of the game. Interestingly, the first T20I will be played on Thursday, July 10 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Here is what Litton stated as quoted by ESPNcricinfo “For me, every series and every match is important. Wherever I play, I try my best. That's all I can do. But sometimes, failures come, and the success rate hasn't been good. This is part of life. There are players who succeed in one year and struggle in the next. Understanding why that happens is important, and I hope to find out and overcome it,” Read also: WATCH: Jharkhand Woman Cricketer Tears Up After Meeting MS Dhoni The Dinajpur-born was hoping to return to the ODI team sometime in the near future and said that he was keeping himself occupied by training for the T20I series after he was omitted from the XI in the ODI series. He is hoping to get back among runs, where he also captains the Bangla Tigers. “I didn't play good ODI cricket, and that's why I was on the bench. During that time [third ODI], I practiced for T20Is, and I will try to use that preparation in the T20I series. As a professional, I have to adjust, and I believe I do that well. They gave me opportunities in the ODI format, but I couldn't capitalize on it. Hopefully, I will play domestic cricket, score runs, and maybe they will call me again. I have been playing T20Is, and I hope I can make a comeback,” he added. Litton and Bangladesh would be looking to come back much stronger in the coming series to finish their all-format tour on a high. They arrive for this series after losing both the Tests and ODIs.
