West Indies had a real show of Day 4 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium at Delhi, after India asked them bat for the second time. As predicted earlier, India did have a hard time with the bowlers toiling to get a wicket after getting two on Day 3. However, amidst all the struggles, Mohammed Siraj's seemingly warning to the West Indian all-rounder Justin Greaves at the boundary on Day 4 caught the eyes. Lovingly called as "DSP," Siraj was seen walking to Greaves during the Tea session right before the third session and was seemingly warning Greaves. The duo then had a laugh, which caught the eyes of the fan. Earlier, India piled up a mammoth 518 for 5 declared, with dominant performances from Shubman Gill and KL Rahul. The visitors were bowled out for 248 in their first innings and forced to follow on. In the second innings, however, the West Indies showed rare resistance. John Campbell registered his maiden Test century with a gritty 115 off 199 balls, while Shai Hope broke an eight-year drought to score 103 off 214 balls. Their partnership revived hopes before India’s spinners took charge. But the real twist came lower down the order when Justin Greaves fought valiantly with an unbeaten 50 off 85 deliveries, steering the tail with maturity. Greaves found crucial support from Jayden Seales, who contributed 32 runs, as the duo added 79 runs for the eighth wicket, frustrating India for more than 20 overs. Their stand pushed the West Indies total to 390, a commendable recovery after early setbacks. Chasing 121, India reached 63/1 at stumps, with KL Rahul (25)* and Sai Sudharsan (30)* at the crease. The hosts now need only 58 more runs to clinch a comfortable series win.
