It happened on the last hour of day 3, while Bangladesh was batting and Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque at the crease. In the 22nd over, Ravichandran Ashwin was bowling, and Gill came in to field at silly point for the new batsman, Mominul. Gill and Rishabh Pant registered a massive partnership for the fourth wicket going on to add 167 runs. Pant was also in action and played some delightful cricket and scored 109 off 128 balls to pick his sixth Test century. Their partnership helped India go on to have an enormous 514-run lead in the second innings. Team India has one more Test against Bangladesh, three Tests against New Zealand, and five Tests against Australia. India also drew 1-1 with South Africa.
