In the latest development from the Indian camp, the Test captain of the Indian National Cricket Team, Shubman Gill, is set to return to the field ahead of the Asia Cup 2025. He will feature in the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the training program ahead of the crucial tournament. The Indian team players are set to go under a special fitness camp for their routine performance. However, it is now being reported that Gill’s health has improved, and he has no serious health concerns. Moreover, his blood reports also suggest that he will regain his full fitness in sometimes which is already a big sigh of relief for the Indian Cricket team. The Times of India (TOI) reported that the 26-year-old batter will soon be joining the BCCI Centre of Excellence for his training. It is worth mentioning that apart from Gill, there were other players who joined the Centre of Excellence for their fitness assessment. Batting all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is yet to recover from his injury that he sustained during the England tour, and Hardik Pandya has resumed his fitness training in Baroda after getting fitness clearance. Among others, spinner Kuldeep Yadav, B Sai Sudharsan and Arshdeep Singh was also present at the CoE, working on their fitness. Mohammed Siraj, who gave his everything on the England tour, is currently resting and has not been a part of the Asia Cup setup. He might join the training sometime later. The upcoming Asia Cup 2025 will be held in the UAE this time from September 9 to 29. The Indian team will play their first match against their arch-rivals, Pakistan, on September 10.
