Gill, who made his ODI debut for India on January 31, 2019, against New Zealand at Seddon Park in Hamilton, is playing his 50th ODI match for India on Wednesday. Gill needed 25 runs to complete 2500 runs in ODIs, and he achieved the feat by smashing a boundary in the fifth over of India’s innings which was being bowled by Gus Atkinson. Gill is in red-hot form in this ongoing ODI series against England, continuing his momentum he smashed his 7th century in this 50-over format to shatter all records with his form. He played a blistering 112-run knock from just 102 balls and was later dismissed by Adil Rashid. Shubman Gill made two consecutive 100+ partnerships with Virat Kohli (52) and Shreyas Iyer (78) to help the team reach in a strong position. In the ongoing series, Gill scored 259 runs in just three innings with an average of 86.33 and a strike rate of 103.60.
