Punjab, until they lost Qualifier 1 to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), probably seemed like the most dominant team in IPL 2025. A great finish in the group stage has its advantages, and Punjab now earns a second shot at the IPL 2025 Final. The clash against the Mumbai Indians will happen on June 1 at Narendra Modi Stadium. Their journey, however, has not been smooth for Hardik Pandya's boys. Before their Eliminator win against Gujarat Titans, Mumbai hadn't got another drop from any top-ranked side. Things have changed now. With the winds blowing in their favor, the five-time champions are again feared, with Jasprit Bumrah as the spearhead and arguably best bowler and Suryakumar Yadav as their best batter. The qualifier 2 promises a trauma clash where record-breaking achievements are set to take place. Punjab wants to win their maiden IPL trophy. Only seven teams, out of 17 seasons, have so far been able to claim this feat. Shreyas Iyer could enter the history books by becoming the first captain ever to win the title with two different franchises-after he won the title with Kolkata Knight Riders this year, his aim is to back that with Punjab. Both teams dominate games through aggressive batting. However, Mumbai has one ace up its sleeve: Bumrah.
