Not a single person is leaving Punjab Kings to have some peace! From trolling relentlessly on social media to players passing racial jokes, it seems like all are coming back to Punjab all at once. On May 14, after Tilak Varma and Ryan Rickelton defeated the Punjab Kings in Dharamshala, the Hyderabad batter did a cold celebration. Tilak stood not out for 75 runs, soaked up the pressure, and won it for MI with late assistance from Will Jacks. Following that, he leaped into the air with joy. But something that went unnoticed was him lifting his shirt to show his abs. Just a day back, the Punjab Kings opener, Prabhsimran Singh, posted a bare-chested photo on his Instagram story. There were early rumors that claimed that Prabh had gained 10 kilograms, and many predicted that the shirtless photo was an answer to that. And the same followed in Tilak Varma's case. Even though Praph performed, Tilak lifting his jersey felt like passing a message to the PBKS dugout. The other side of the coin says Tilak flexed his skin color. Just a few hours ago, Arshdeep Singh called him "Andhera" and repeatedly "advised" him to use sunscreen. Even though Tilak casually shrugged it off, this is not something that sits well with anyone. And this is not the first time he has done these kinds of rubbish things! Intentional?? 😭😭😭😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/FuleZoKVyZ — Shivani (@meme_ki_diwani) May 14, 2026 Read also: Andrew Flintoff Set to Shock Cricket World with Sydney Thunder Coaching Move Sarpanch praises Tilak Varma's innings Chasing 201, Ryan Rickelton had set the base for Mumbai, and Tilak Varma ensured the win. Even though there have been fumbles in the middle Tilak stood still and finished the chase with a boundary of Xavier Bartlett having one ball left. After the match, the Punjab Kings captain Shreyas praised Tilak's know even after considering the defeat a hard one to accept.. Shreyas said, "Tough pill to swallow. Don't want to pinpoint a situation. It was a great game of cricket. He (Tilak) played an amazing knock, and manoeuvred the field nicely - so credit to him. (On Omarzai) At a point, we were looking at 170-180, and he simply changed the momentum towards us. Getting to 200 was a commendable performance. (On their next game) Definitely excited about the next opportunity. An afternoon game and we need to win two out of two - can't wait to play (those matches)."
