Karnali Yaks, a franchise team in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has signed the services of the former team India opener Shikhar Dhawan for the fourth edition of the tournament. Dhawan is the 4th overseas signing for the Karnali Yaks. Known for his batting prowess, Dhawan concluded his IPL career as one of the tournament's top run-scorers. Across 222 matches, the left-handed batter amassed 6,769 runs, including two centuries and 51 half-centuries, placing him second only to Virat Kohli in the all-time runs list. In his international career, Dhawan represented India in 34 Test matches, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is, amassing 10,867 runs with 24 centuries and 55 fifties across all formats. As for the Nepal Premier League, the tournament will see eight teams competing, with matches scheduled to begin on November 30 and wrap up on December 21.
