Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan has been really busy because he is playing in the ongoing Legends League Cricket 2024. In his recent interview he expressed about his retirement from all the forms the game. He also showed no interest in domestic cricket. He also shed light on the reason why he decided to retire from all forms of the game. In a latest interview. Dhawan took retirement from international and domestic cricket back in August 2024, he has played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, 68 T20Is for the Indian cricket team, and was one of the best batters for the Men in Blue during his prime days. Interestingly, Dhawan was India's 25th ODI captain, where he led India in 12 matches and lost three but emerged victorious in seven of those. Dhawan last played an international game for Indian in December 2022. “If I look back, the last two years of my cricketing career, I wasn't playing much of international cricket and I was playing IPL to IPL, so I wasn't playing much of cricket (overall). I thought that, 'alright, I've played enough, and I need to give it a break because I'm not playing that much cricket, so you lose the touch as well," Dhawan said. He also talked about his snit in the IPL, according to the star batter playing just in IPL will not help him to make a comeback in international cricket. "I thought that continuing IPL and just coming up with two, three months of hard work won't be enough for me to go and play,” Dhawan added.
