An aggressive celebration by New Zealand bowler Kyle Jamieson became the highlight in the Indian Premier League 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals in Jaipur. The pacer, who dismissed young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi early in the inning, celebrated aggressively post-wicket which earned heavy criticism on social media from the fans. It was anticipated in the match that Sooryavanshi will compete with Mitchell Starc as the 15-year-old impressed against star bowlers in the earlier matches. However, the contest never happened as Jamieson took a young batter in the early part of his spell. Early Wicket and Fiery Celebration Sooryavanshi, the 15-year-old, got out only after playing two balls at the crease. The 15-year-old slammed a boundary on the first ball but he failed to keep control of the second ball on the low full-toss and deflected it onto the stumps. While the wicket was essential for Delhi Capitals, the reaction of pacer Jamieson drew the attention. Jamieson gave a send-off right in front of the young batter and the young batter returned without being able to score only 4 runs of 2 balls. The video of the moment went viral and fans were furious with the celebration. While some fans expressed that the send-off was unnecessary and excessive, many believe such sentiments should be restrained when you’re up against a teenager. Some fans, conversely, backed up Jamieson stating that aggression is part of the game, and high-pressure games like in IPL, it’s bound to create emotions. Kyle Jamieson's pathetic behavior! Showing such useless aggression after dismissing a 15-year-old kid only proves that having a tall stature doesn't make you a big player. Riyan Parag remained unbeaten at 68 while Dhruv Jurel added 42 to his total as opener Yashasvi Jaiswal had been sent back to the pavilion after scoring just 6 runs off Mitchell Starc. While it has been an early breakthrough for the Delhi Capitals it has created a debate altogether on players behavior on the field.
