Bangladesh's premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been drafted in Lahore Qalandars for the ongoing Pakistan Super League 10 season. If there was anything like a hiatus from cricket, it lasted nearly five months for Shakib, who has back to take the field again as the PSL resumes on May 17 following a break due to high India-Pakistan tensions. According to bdnews24.com, Shakib confirmed his participation in PSL 10. This will be his third spell, having previously featured for Karachi Kings in 2016 and Peshawar Zalmi in 2017, thus making it nine years after his last PSL appearance. In the Lahore Qalandars, Shakib shall be in the company of Rishad Hossain, another Bangladeshi player. The side currently stands fourth in the PSL 10 points table, with an accumulation of 9 points off 9 matches. His latest stint was in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, representing the Bangla Tigers. His last international appearance was at the Asia Cup in September and also missed the Champions Trophy. Shakib was recently reported for his suspect bowling action in a Surrey County Championship match. He had earlier failed the reassessment test twice but, after a third attempt, cleared it in March and was given the go-ahead to bowl.
