Former Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra has made explosive claims of financial fraud and money laundering against a current key promoter of the IPL franchise. In a LinkedIn post on Saturday, Kundra said he would soon release documented evidence of what he called “serious financial misconduct” within the Royals’ ownership structure. Kundra, who was banned from all cricket-related activities by the BCCI in 2015, has alleged that he was deliberately sidelined as a co-promoter and denied his rightful entitlements. “I will soon be releasing documented evidence exposing serious financial misconduct, money laundering through offshore structures and hidden transactions involving a key promoter of the Rajasthan Royals. This includes willful suppression of co-promoter rights and entitlements, pattern of deceit and manipulation in shareholder dealings. The truth will be shared soon, and the documents will speak for themselves,” Kundra wrote. Also Read | PBKS vs MI Injury Update: Are Chahal and Chahar available for Qualifier 2? Raj Kundra, who became a co-owner of Rajasthan Royals in 2009, was banned for life by the BCCI in 2015 following a probe into illegal betting activities during IPL 2013. Since then, Kundra has maintained a relatively low profile when it comes to IPL affairs—until now. His latest allegations, which include claims of offshore transactions and financial irregularities, suggest a major fallout behind the scenes.
