The much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) debut at a much-glorified Mumbai Indians (MI) has been handed down to Corbin Bosch, the promising allrounder in fast bowling. This South African pacer has most recently made waves after he pulled out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 at the last minute, as the very last replacement to Lizaad Williams, who has been injured. With Mitchell Santner unfit to play, Bosch made it to the Playing XI against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Hardik Pandya, the captain, was the one to confirm the unavailability of the star spinner. Meanwhile, Karn Sharma, who was injured while playing during a previous match against SRH, has also returned. Bosch was superb for MI Cape Town in the SA20 with 11 wickets in 8 matches, including a fantastic performance of 4/19 during their title-winning run. His all-round ability with bat and ball will certainly bolster Mumbai's chances. With earlier stint in the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Bosch joined as a net bowler but was later picked up on replacement for Nathan Coulter-Nile. He was not lucky to play back then, but Bosch is now really prepared to leave his mark on Mumbai Indians. Bosch has long since crossed international boundaries in pursuing his career, having debuted in both Tests and ODIs for South Africa. He made his Test debut on 26 December 2024 against Pakistan in Centurion, barely days after having made his first ODI appearance in Johannesburg. Bosch was also transferred into the Champions Trophy squad for South Africa as a replacement for Anrich Nortje.
