As the IPL 2025 season draws near, one of the biggest trade talks is back up for discussion, that of Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings. The retention deadline is scheduled on November 15, and according to reports from Cricbuzz, CSK and Rajasthan Royals have restarted their conversations regarding a possible trade of the RR skipper. Dhoni Involved in Key Planning MS Dhoni has reportedly been busy making plans for CSK’s next season. Dhoni will discuss the finalization of the retention list with CEO Kasi Viswanathan, skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and head coach Stephen Fleming before the process is finalized. One such important meeting is scheduled to happen on November 10 and 11, when the team management are expected to take important calls, including the Samson trade possibility. Insiders close to the developments told ToI that CSK are considering a high-profile trade involving one of their top-order batter in exchange for Samson.
