Sanju Samson, the star wicketkeeper-batter, in the third T20I against Bangladesh, helped Team India seal a clean sweep of 3-0. The final match at Hyderabad saw India post a record total of 297/6. As a result, the hosts went on to post their highest total in T20Is, to a large extent thanks to the fifty-four-ball 111 by Samson. For a number of years now, Samson's potential has been evident, but at international level, he hasn't quite been able to do it consistently. This innings of his was a kind of breakthrough that demonstrated maturity as well as pressure-handling ability. It can get frustrating knowing what you can do out there, and I have also felt I can do much better,” Samson said during the presentation ceremony. Furthermore, Sanju Samson said he has played so many games and is one of the most experienced players in team India, so he knows how to handle pressure. He further added saying that he needed to prove to everyone his capability for performance at the highest level. Besides that, the batter based in Kerala has also shed light upon the fact how head coach Gautam Gambhir leads and the kind of attitude the captain Suryakumar Yadav has by trying to make a team culture selfless, which has started giving them favorable results. “But, with playing so many games I know how to deal with pressure and my failures because I have failed a lot. Just focus on the process and know you will do well. Playing for your country, that pressure was there, but I wanted to perform and wanted to show. But I still kept it basic and wanted to take it by one ball (at a time)," he continued. “The leadership tells me they back me no matter what... not just in words but in actions also. Last series I got two ducks and went back to Kerala thinking what will happen, but I'm here,” Samson concluded.
