Indian and Tamil Nadu batsman B Sai Sudharsan has returned to Surrey ahead of their County Championship matches against Lancashire and Nottinghamshire. Sudharsan represented Surrey in a County Championship game against Essex at the Kia Oval in June before turning out for his international debut in T20Is for India in Harare the following month. It will be a good preparation time for Sudharsan before the Duleep Trophy from September 5 in Bengaluru and Anantapur. Sudharsan is part of Team C that captain Ruturaj Gaikwad leads. His county stint will end on September 1 following the away game at Trent Bridge. Currently, Sudharsan is not in Tamil Nadu teams that are engaged in the on-going Buchi Babu tournament being held in Coimbatore and Salem. He also played two matches for Surrey in September 2023, helping them secure the County Championship Division One title during his debut season with the team. Sai showed his brilliance in Gujarat Titans, where he became their leading run-scorer in IPL 2024, amassing 527 runs in 12 innings at an average of 47.90 and a strike rate of 141.28. Surrey currently leads the Division One table and is aiming for their third consecutive County Championship title. Also Read | Watch: Rashid Khan Dazzles with Sixes in Shpageeza Cricket League 2024
