In a rather unusual incident after the India vs Pakistan encounter in Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai, Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan was at the eye of the storm. Farhan, who scored 40 runs off 44 balls, uploaded highlights of his knock on TikTok, which is a china-built platform that has been blocked in India. Though his knock had three sixes, two of which were scored against India's pace ace Jasprit Bumrah, his slow rate of scoring was criticized. Fans were of the opinion that his innings did not have the intent required in a pressure game.   The backlash grew stronger when Pakistan ultimately lost the match. Farhan's innings, as sluggish as it was in moments, did not have much bearing on the result. Putting up scores of what many considered a "meaningless knock" didn't quite sit with fans, who were quick to criticize the opener on social media.   Meanwhile Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan after scoring 40(44) in a t20i shares tiktok video of him hitting two sixes in that match New Achievement 😭😭 pic.twitter.com/MoJlfmWiYZ — D (@A7pha_) September 15, 2025   Pakistan cricketer Sahibzada Farhan shared the highlights of his 40(44) knock against India on TikTok👀Sharam nahi ati in logon ko Yaar pic.twitter.com/9SNfgH2HvS — Abubakar Khan (@abubakarmemer) September 15, 2025   Check sahibzada Farhan's new TikTok post 😭😭😭 — حماد (@BA56FOREVERR) September 15, 2025   Haarna jeetna tw chlta rehta hai but ye cheezien bardaasht se bhr hai.#PAKvIND #INDvsPAK pic.twitter.com/oZ1K5Zoqnk — Syed Muhammad Hassaan (@SHassaan1589) September 15, 2025   Also Watch | WATCH: India Wins, But No Handshake with Pakistan – A Message for Pahalgam   India's Clinical Chase and Another Dominant Win   In pursuit of a modest 128, India made it look easy. Abhishek Sharma gave a rocket start with a spree of boundaries off the opening over from Shaheen Afridi, making a point very strongly. Tilak Varma scored 31, while Shivam Dube scored 10. However, it was the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav who sealed the victory with a super six.   Three wickets in Saim Ayub's bag notwithstanding, India's run-chase was never in doubt. The pitch was conducive to stroke play, and the Pakistani spinners, Abrar Ahmed, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Mohammad Nawaz, found it hard to keep pace with the control and accuracy of the Indians.   The game concluded without post-match handshakes between the two teams, and there was an extra layer of tension in the game. India's ruthless win again spelled out the increasing difference in quality between the two teams in this format.   For Pakistan, attention turned away from the game to Farhan's TikTok activity, which dominated discussion about his batting display. For India, it was yet another statement victory, further cementing their dominance over their biggest rivals in recent times.
