Rohit Sharma skipper of the Indian Test and ODI team and his wife Ritika Sajdeh have welcomed a baby boy on the night of Friday, November 15. This will be the second child for the power couple as they already have a daughter named Samaira. According to reports, Rohit and Ritika gave birth to their son in Mumbai, but all details are still awaited. Journalist Vikrant Gupta made the news public through social media platform 'X', which was formerly known as Twitter, and congratulated the Rohit and Ritika. However, now that the very purpose behind staying back home by Rohit has come to a completion, he may travel, though inclusion in the first match of the series will be questionable. In the absence of Rohit, KL Rahul is likely to be tried as an opener alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal; the others who will be the obvious choices for the much-hyped battle are Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Sarfaraz Khan, and Ravindra Jadeja. Meanwhile, head coach Gautam Gambhir has also confirmed during the pre-departure press conference that ace pacer and vice captain Jasprit Bumrah will be the designated skipper in Rohit's unavailability, and rightly so.
