Rohit Sharma made history on Sunday, November 30, in the first ODI between India and South Africa in Ranchi. The former Indian captain went past the long-standing record of Shahid Afridi for the most sixes in ODI cricket. Rohit required three sixes in the match to cross Afridi’s tally of 351 sixes, and he reached the milestone comfortably in the 20th over of India’s first innings. The legendary Indian opener Rohit, hit two huge sixes on the first two balls of the 15th over off spinner Prenelan Subrayen to draw level with Afridi's number. The record-breaking six came soon after, on the fourth ball of 20th over by Jansen, making him the new leader for the most ODI sixes in history. Rohit achieved the feat much earlier into his career, doing it in his 277th ODI for India. Known for his clean hitting and calm approach, Rohit has now added another big record to his name.
