Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has rented out his luxury apartment in Lower Parel, Mumbai, for ₹2.6 lakh per month. According to property registration documents, the deal was finalized in January 2025. The apartment is located in Lodha Marquise – The Park, a premium residential complex developed by Macrotech Developers Limited (Lodha Group). The property, which has a carpet area of 1,298 sq ft, comes with two car parking spaces. The lease agreement required a stamp duty payment of ₹16,300 and a registration fee of ₹1,000. The apartment was originally purchased by Rohit and his father, Gurunath Sharma, in March 2013 for ₹5.46 crore. The monthly rent of ₹2.6 lakh provides an estimated 6% rental yield. Lower Parel is one of Mumbai’s top real estate hubs, known for its premium residential and commercial developments. It offers seamless connectivity to key business districts such as Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Nariman Point. The area continues to attract high-profile residents, including cricketers, actors, and business tycoons. Records show that in October 2024, another apartment owned by Rohit and his father in the same Lodha Marquise complex was rented for ₹2.65 lakh per month. That unit was purchased in 2013 for ₹5.70 crore. Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, has led Mumbai Indians to multiple IPL titles and played a crucial role in India’s victories in global tournaments. He has been recognized with prestigious awards like the Arjuna Award in 2015 and the Khel Ratna in 2020. Meanwhile, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has also made real estate headlines. Reports suggest that SRK and his family will be temporarily relocating to a luxury apartment in Pali Hill as renovation work at his iconic bungalow, Mannat, is set to begin in May 2025. The superstar has reportedly leased four floors of a premium building for ₹24 lakh per month.
