Indian Test captain Rohit Sharma has no doubt a huge fan following, and him playing Ranji Trophy added more favours for the fans. This fandom got real as a fan breached into the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC, Mumbai, on January 25. Notably, Rohit Sharma has returned to domestic cricket after 9 years, hoping to gain some form for the Champions Trophy. Rohit, however, did not make a remarkable run in the match. But that did not feel justified to suppress the love for him. While fielding against Jammu and Kashmir, the fan breached the security and ran in to meet Rohit. Rohit, too, gave an adorable tap on his shoulder while the security personnel came to take him away. Watch the video here: A fan entered the ground to meet Indian Captain Rohit Sharma. His first innings saw him struggle to find rhythm, dismissed cheaply after chasing wide deliveries. In the second innings, he looked more comfortable, hitting two fours and three sixes, but misjudged a pull shot, getting caught for 28. However, Mumbai couldn't pull through against Jammu & Kashmir, who secured a historic five-wicket victory. Shardul Thakur’s brilliant 119 off 135 balls, including 18 boundaries, and an 184-run partnership with Tanush Kotian brought Mumbai back into the game, but J&K's clinical chase of 205 overshadowed Mumbai's star-studded lineup, leaving them stunned at their unexpected defeat.
