Rohit’s Availability for BGT Opener Uncertain It is less than a week away now, and it is still a question as to whether Rohit could make all the way to Australia on time for this critical game, especially after just so few practice sessions. Head coach Gautam Gambhir is hopeful that Rohit might be available for the match, though his participation has not yet been confirmed. Rohit was not in his element these days, but Abhimanyu Easwaran-who went back against the bounce and seam movement-was surely not preferred. KL Rahul, who was ruled out with an elbow injury, was recovering and did not seem serious. Shubman Gill also suffered a thumb injury just a week before the opening Test. Rohit Sharma has played 7 Test matches against Australia in Australia in which the Indian Skipper has scored 408 runs at an average of 31.38. His highest score of 63 not out came at the Melbourne in 2018. Since then, he has been part of two tests played in Australia in which he scored 129 collective in 4 innings.
