However, this time to great relief, it was none of his personal relief but KL Rahul, his teammate, who had some logistical delay while checking in. Led by Rohit Sharma, the first batch of players, including Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir, arrived in the afternoon. However, KL Rahul was notably the last to exit the airport, causing an unexpected delay. According to a report from Times of India, Rahul was at least 20 minutes late, than the rest of the squad due to additional security checks and luggage clearance. As a result, he had to travel separately to the team hotel, missing the team bus. Rohit, spotted at the bus gate in discussion with a support staff member, was reportedly ensuring arrangements for Rahul’s transport before boarding. Despite Rahul being the reason for the holdup, fans got some comic relief recalling Rohit's famous ‘forgetful’ nature. Fans started joking that he might have misplaced something again.
