Popular radio jockey and social media personality RJ Mahvash expressed happiness at the end of the match-winning performance by Yuzvendra Chahal in the 31st match of IPL 2025, played in Mullanpur on April 15, bringing Punjab Kings (PBKS) a thrilling 16-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). As Chahal has again proved, he is among the most lethal spin bowlers in IPL history. The veteran leg-spinner bagged four wickets, putting PBKS back on the winning track after their recent loss to SRH. He also recorded a historic achievement in the process. Punjab Kings could only manage to score 111 runs in a low-scoring contest, and at a point, it looked like KKR had the upper hand. But from the eighth over onward, the game resurrected for the Royals as Chahal marched in. As if scripted in a great drama, right from the first ball, he was into the game by getting Ajinkya Rahane trapped leg-before-wicket, a decision that had a little bit of contention to it. Replays suggested the ball may have gone over the stumps, but Rahane chose to walk and not to review. He later said not to review was a mistake. That did not stop him. In the next over, he got rid of the promising Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Then, in his third over, he stunned KKR with two wickets off two balls- Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh. However, Andre Russell counterattacked in the last over of Chahal, and by this time, it was too late. It led to the KKR falling for a meager 95 runs in 15.1 overs as PBKS celebrated a breathtaking 16-run triumph over them in their own backyard. Even greater was the fact that he performed this match-winning spell with a slight shoulder injury. His effort took him to the top of the IPL all-time wicket-takers' list with 211 wickets. RJ Mahvash went on Instagram after the game to celebrate Chahal's display. She had recently attended a PBKS game in Chandigarh and had put some pictures from the stands. With her latest post praising Chahal, the rumors surrounding their relationship picked up further. Mahvash dropped a selfie from her last trip to Chandigarh, calling Chahal a "legend" in the caption, and then went on to poke some gentle fun at his critics while applauding his record as the highest wicket-taker in IPL history. This was the eighth time Chahal claimed four or more wickets in any given match of the IPL. This added another record to his name along with the likes of KKR's Sunil Narine, with both players having seven four-wicket hauls and one five-wicket haul in the league.
