The Himachal-based Indian fast-bowling alrounder Rishi Dhawan bids adieu to limited-overs cricket in India. Dhawan has represented India in four international matches (three ODI and one T20I) in 2016. Following that, his skills were restricted to IPL and domestic cricket. He announced his retirement after the state's exit from the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinals 2025. However, Dhawan will continue playing red ball cricket, as he has not mentioned retirement from first-class cricket. That means he will represent Himachal Pradesh at least for the remainder of the ongoing Ranji Trophy season. Himachal Pradesh currently sits second in Group B of the tournament and remains in contention for a quarterfinal spot. Rishi Dhawan has featured in all five matches for Himachal this season, contributing significantly as their second-highest run scorer with 397 runs at an impressive average of 79.40. Additionally, he has claimed 11 wickets at an average of 28.45.
