Rishabh Pant recently took to social media in an attempt to address and debunk fake news circulating around himself. The news emanated that Pant had approached Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction seeking a captaincy role. According to the fake report, RCB reportedly declined the move of Pant, which was based on the suggestion of Virat Kohli, citing Rishabh Pant's so-called "political tactics" within the Indian team and Delhi Capitals (DC). He was visibly disturbed. He gave a shout to the person, who went about spreading the word, terming the information as "fake news" and urged people not to create a "non-genuine atmosphere." The post had gained enough noise on the social media channel, but Pant's quick reply placed things straight. His response has garnered appreciation from fans, as they were in support of his position against the fake narrative. He said: "Fake news . Why do you guys spread so much fake news on social media.
