Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is likely to the Ranji Trophy match, representing Delhi. Delhi will face Saurashtra on January 3, in Rajkot, in the second half of the Ranji Trophy. Both Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli have been named in the list of 41 probable players. Harshit Rana, who recently debuted in the Border Gavaskar series in Australia, has also been named in the list. Pant's return to the Ranji Trophy is confirmed, but India Today reports that Kohli's participation is still unconfirmed. Kohli last played in 2012, while Pant appeared in 2017. Rishabh Pant scored 315 runs from 7 matches in his last Ranji season and hasn’t played in the tournament since debuting for India in 2018. Both Kohli and Pant were also included in Delhi's Ranji Trophy probables last year. Pant had a tough time in the recent five-match Test series against Australia, scoring 255 runs from 9 innings at an average of 28.33, with his only half-century coming in the final Test in Sydney.
