In a major setback for the Indian team, the Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant sustained a knee injury on the second day of the ongoing Test match against New Zealand in Bengaluru. During New Zealand's first innings, Rishabh Pant suffered a serious knee injury in the 37th over, limping off the field and leaving Team India in a tough spot. This setback came after Ravindra Jadeja, who had already dismissed Will Young, bowled a sharp turner to Devon Conway. Jadeja, bowling over the wicket, delivered a full-length ball that spun sharply after pitching outside off-stump. Conway attempted a powerful drive but missed, as the ball zipped through the gap between his bat and pad. However, his efforts couldn't prevent the team from being bowled out for a mere 46 runs, marking India's lowest-ever Test score on home soil. This was also their third-lowest total in Test history and their worst score against New Zealand in the format. New Zealand's fast bowlers, especially William O'Rourke and Matt Henry, wreaked havoc on the Indian batting lineup. Matt Henry also completed his 100 Test wickets after his 5-wicket haul.
