The star wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is finally back for senior-level international cricket, as the Board of Cricket Control in India has announced a 15-man squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa. Earlier Rishab sustained a foot injury at Manchester when Chris Woakes ball landed straight on the former's foot while he tried to swing. Even though Rishabh did not undergo surgery, it took him some time to recover. He had missed the West Indies Test series before the SA one. Currently, he is with the India A team, leading the side against South Africa A. In the first match, he announced his arrival with a brilliant 90-run knock, as India won the match by 3 wickets. Well, with Pant returning, Narayan Jagdeeshan will have to return. Jagdeeshan was touring with the team as a backup keeper to Dhruv Jurel. Akash Deep has also returned to the squad, while Prasidh Krishna has been omitted.
