Adam Gilchrist, legendary Australia wicketkeeper-batsman, has termed Rishabh Pant as a fearless player and said he plays more aggressively than he used to. There have always been comparisons of Pant with the better-known Gilchrist, though the comparison was mainly because of his bold style in Test cricket. Rishabh Pant has been inducted in the Test team, making a first-match appearance against Bangladesh at Chennai. He scored 39 off 52 deliveries as India lost three top-order wickets and needed to recover. "A class act," Gilchrist praised Pant for his ability to deal with things under pressure. Gilchrist stated on Cricket.com. "I reckon he attacks a bit more than I did. I played an aggressive brand at that time, but Rishabh, he looks fearless. What I do like is that he occasionally puts a foot on the brake and absorbs a bit of pressure. So he's a class act,” Also Read | India vs Bangladesh 1st Test, Day 2: Review and Stats Breakdown The Australian legend praised Pant for entertaining the crowd in Test cricket and said he would happily pay to watch him play. He added, "He is, what you say, bums on seats and people pay money well and truly. I would happily pay money to watch him play cricket. So that's a great quality to have, I think, if people are acknowledging in that manner because he gets the results, he's a winner and a survivor, as we know. He's all class in everything he does. He's good fun, he's got the humour. He knows how to go about a very serious business in a fun way," In the Test career, Rishabh Pant scored 2,322 runs in 34 games at an average of 43.81 and a strike rate of 73.73. Further, he achieved five hundreds and eleven fifties. He notched hundreds on his first tour to England, Australia, and South Africa. Pant played an important role as India clinched the second consecutive Test series in Australia as he scored 89 not out on the fifth day at the Gabba to help India chase 328 to win the series 2-1. As Team India will travel to Australia later this year, a lot will ride on Pant as they look to seal a third successive series.
