The Indian Premier League is likely to implement the ICC code of conduct allotted for T20 cricket for regulations in the 2025 edition. In a BCCI meeting held on Sunday, the decision has been finalized. Previously, IPL had its own code of conduct specially made for the league. However, according to reports, the league will now follow ICC-sanctioned penalties for Level 1, 2, and 3 offenses, aligning the tournament's playing conditions with ICC T20I regulations. A senior IPL General Council member spoke anonymously, clarifying, “From now on, the ICC’s sanctioned penalties will be imposed for Level 1, 2, or 3 offenses.
