Palaash Muchhal's sister, Palak Muchhal, has confirmed that her brother Palaash and the Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana's marriage has been halted. She even asked the fans to respect the privacy of the families. On her Insta story, she wrote, "Due to Smriti's dad health, Smriti and Palaash's wedding has been put on hold. Would request all of you to respect the privacy of the families in this sensitive time." The 2025 World Cup winner batter Smriti Mandhana was supposed to marry her longtime boyfriend, music composer Palaash Muchhal, on November 23 at Sangli. However, the marriage stopped for an indefinite period of time due to Smriti's father, Shinivas Mandhana's, sudden deterioration of health. Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, was an active participant in all pre-marriage events. he was even spotted dancing with Smriti on stage. However, on November 23, in the morning during breakfast, he experienced discomfort in his body. Later, Mandhana's manager, Tuhin Mishra, earlier informed that Mr. Mandhana suffered a slight pain on the left side of his chest. The family thought that he might recover soon, but the condition worsened and he was rushed to a hospital. Later, the family doctor, Dr. Naman Shah clarified to PTI that a group of doctors is monitoring Mandhana, and added, "At around 1.30 pm, Mr Srinivas Mandhana got left-sided chest pain, we call it 'angina' in medical term. As the symptoms surfaced, his son called me, we sent ambulance, he was shifted to hospital. We found out in ECG, other reports, that cardiac enzymes are elevated, hence we need to keep him in observation." He further said, "Blood pressure is also elevated, and efforts are on to lower it. The whole team is monitoring. If the situation exacerbates, we will have to do angiography. Smriti and her family are in contact with us; hopefully he will be stable by tomorrow." However, he was discharged the same day. But Smriti Mandhana has been found to delete all her engagement posts from her Instagram account. Not only that, but her teammates Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil have also deleted the engagement announcement video from their Instagram accounts. Notably, Tuhin Mishra earlier clarified that Smriti is very close to her father, especially for the way he supported her in her cricketing journey. With him turning ill, Smriti has decided to postpone her marriage till he father recovers.
